Curating Community, Care, and Compassion

December 01

Sheila Simpson and Associates faciliate groups, increase organizational capacity, aid in community building, development, and help organizations with problem solving.

Sheila credits the Innovation Works space for helping her meet people she would have never been able to meet on her own. The space has enabled her to make connections and given her the ability to make connection between other co-tenants as well. Her favourite way to make connections is to attend the Wine Down Friday events once a month.

"There is a real buzz on some days that inspires me to do more to make my community a better place, to work together and cooperate to find solutions to issues"

With a home office in SouthWest London, the flexibility of the space is great for her. When she has meetings Downtown she can come to Innovation Works before, after, or in between, saving her money and time. She drops in, sets up at a flex desk, and gets to work!

"Being an independent, it is easy to end up “out of sight, out of mind” – being visible on a relatively regular basis helps keep me in people’s minds and reminds them that I might be able to help them"

Her favourite aspect of Innovation Works is the growing sense of community, care, and compassion that are breaking down silos between areas of interest and work.

To all prospective tenants, Sheila says: JOIN US!
The flexibility of the space allows co-tenants to participate at their own level of comfort. She suggests dropping in for a Salad Club Wednesday or a Wine Down Friday to really get a feel for the campraderie of the space.

"I am a very social person and being at Innovation Works allows me to support that part of my personality"
